If you're a person who likes traditions, Paradise Poker is the place to be. It may not be the poker room that is always first with the latest, but Paradise Poker was one of the first poker rooms on the Internet, and it has earned a large faithful clientele since.

One of the first poker rooms to open its doors to the online community was Paradise Poker. With one of the best softwares on the market, it is clean and neat, setting the standard for its successors.

Its cash games and tournaments have very high traffic with reported peak hours of 2,500-3,000 ring game players and 12,000-14,000 tournament players (April, 2006). You can play a wide range of different poker games, from Texas Hold'em at any kind of limit to more exotic variations such as crazy pineapple.

There is also a rich selection of small and large tournaments. The quality of players is generally high, and the games tend to be tight on this site. The standard is more varied on lower levels.

Paradise isn't known for making a great effort to attract or keep players, with few conservative bonus offers. The promotions are okay and they are improving. Lately frequent player promotions have shown up as well as tournaments with guaranteed prize pools.

The rake for cash games and fees for tournament are above average, except for high stake games and more expensive tournaments. Its customer support is only available via e-mail, with quick and knowledgeable response.
